Kenya – Alternative to Resolve Bank Disputes Faster

The Kenya Bankers Association (KBA) has announced plans to launch an alternative dispute resolution mechanism that will provide an independent review and settlement of cases between banks and their customers. This new mechanism is aimed at quickly resolving these cases and reducing conflict between the banks and customers as opposed to when cases are taken up in court. The association is collaborating with all the partners in this industry to set up an arbitration process where both parties in disputes should have confidence in the ability of the arbitrator to be fair.
