Mediator to resolve Google racism dispute

A French judge has called for a mediator to resolve a dispute between Google and French anti-racism groups over the search engine’s feature whereby the word “Jew” is automatically suggested with certain name searches.  Apparently, Google users are made to deal with “unsolicited and almost systematic” association of the word “Jew” with the names of prominent people in the areas of media, politics or business.  This is directly contradicting to French law, wherein it is illegal to record a person’s ethnicity in a database.  Read MORE.
