Mining Company Enters Blockaded Highlands Property

Mining company Hume Coal, which has been prevented from accessing a Southern Highlands property by a blockade on a shared farm road, has entered the land via a second gate. Convenor Peter Martin says the blockade will continue until the legal situation becomes clearer and that the mining company has recently issued aggressive letters to landowners, threatening them with arbitration if they do not agree to grant access.
