Continuing Professional Development Program 2020

The proposed CPD program for the AMA is intended to cover mediation skills, practice and specific content areas. The CPD workshops will be identified as either skills sessions or speciality sessions to assist in selection. The program will appeal to mediators from all different disciplines.

25 February 2020: (5.00pm – 6.30pm): Intake…variations and effectiveness

This webinar will revisit the importance of intake, and the different variations of intake that can be used and what a good mediator can get out of an effective intake and how this information can assist in the mediation process.

Mediation refresher #1: This webinar will cover defining mediation and how it fits along the ADR spectrum. The different models of mediation will be identified and how they can assist in resolving different disputes. The focus of this webinar will be on the facilitative mediation model, what it looks like and the participants will be walked through the stages of the process and strategies and tips for working with the model will be highlighted.
