Tasmanian steam railway on the wrong track for farmers

It is a great vision seeing this 4km steam engine winding through the countryside, but this Redwater Creek Steam Railway is having a little trouble with the natives.  Only 1km of the proposed 4km of track has been built, and it terminates near the local tip.  The rest is ready to be laid but several locals are unhappy. Their complaints have ranged from the whistle frightening cows to land access problems.  Former deputy Prime Minister Tim Fischer said he was willing to mediate with landowners as a last resort.  Read MORE.
