I commenced my training in family dispute resolution practice (FDR) in 2007 at a Family Relationship Centre. This role provided services in line with changes to the Family Law Act, 1975. I have practiced across (3) family law environments - Telephone Dispute Resolution Service, Family Relationship Advice Line and a Family Relationship Centre. I now practice privately and comply with national standards and adhere to a quality practice framework in relation to the following: managing risk, conducting safety screening, using interviewing processes, such as motivational interviewing (MI), and providing holistic assessments to engage in, and help improve parental separation outcomes and children’s care matters.
